No kilns are required - that’s the fun of this clay.  Model your shape at home and let it air-dry.

Air-dry clay is not water or food safe, so if you'd like to make a bowl to eat from, or a vase to put water in, you must get your piece fired. Make sure that you don't apply any of our sealer or acrylic paint before taking it to your local kiln - head to the Modeletto website FAQ's for firing instructions if you wish.

Air Dry Pottery Kit includes:

• Air-dry clay - enough to make two different types of small vases or a small vase and a mug (a mug must be fired in a professional kiln)
• Sculpting tools + sponge + paint brush
• White paint + sealant

Instructions:

Drying time is 24-48 hours depending on thickness (for best results leave for 1 week). It looks great in its natural state with 2 coats of sealer (like most of the pieces pictured), or paint with white acrylic paint (and colours if you wish), let the paint dry and apply 2 coats of sealer.
